It’s tough to go wrong with almost any of their 1960’s models.
While Benrus certainly had great pieces before and after the ‘60s decade, it was in this span that their value proposition was so high. Primarily always using all stainless cases (most, like this watch, monocase designs) and ETA movements. This is one of the reasons some great examples still exist at affordable prices compared to their Swiss counterparts.
Not to be overlooked, the Benrus designs were often classic and sleek. The usage of limited Roman numerals, a broad starburst brushed dial, and subdued baton hands makes this particular dial one attractive face to view.
This timepiece could easily be reproduced today and have great success in the market. And that’s how you know you have a fantastic vintage piece that holds its own throughout the years.
