Croton Triple Date Calendar Watch c.1950s

$0.00

Triple date watches are their own niche because, let’s be honest—do you really have a ‘calendar’ on your wrist if it isn’t day/date/month?

This Croton has been beautifully preserved for ~70 years. It even has some light radium burn to prove it. The creamy dial, the aged lumed, and the still bright red sweep hand make this 34mm wrist calendar a real stunner. Judging by the condition of the watch, which has little to no indications of wear (open of case opening and handling), this period correct Kreisler leather band is expected to be original to the watch, as well. The hard case and cloth are most likely products of the c.1970 era.

If you’re looking for an antique, simple triple date, sans moonphase or chronograph functions, this one is for you. As clean as a watch of this era as they’ll generally ever come, and all the handsomeness to make the wrist experience well worth it.

————————————————————————————

Case: Very good to excellent shape. Case opening and handling markings appear the only deficits.

Crystal: Immaculate shape.

Dial: Shows natural age with a wonderfully creamy tint. At a glance, appears ideal and most desirable.

Hands: Great shape with very aged lume. Still extremely presentable.

Movement: Running very well and in great shape.

[All vintage watches are expected to function as described. However, due to age and generally unknown service history (unless otherwise stated), these watches may not keep time as accurately as new or quartz (battery) watches. This is completely normal and does not indicate that there is a major problem. Like your automobile, all mechanical watches will likely need to be serviced at some point in time. Please keep this in mind, as there is no guarantee regarding when these vintage watches may need standard maintenance. Every watch sold by Buying On Time is done so with the expectation that it is not currently in need of service or repair, unless noted. We guarantee that all watches sold are accurately described and in the stated condition when they leave our hands.]
